The various stages involved while applying for a grant
- Before you apply
Approach the SME centers so that you can discuss your project to make sure that it qualifies for the grant. The applications will be evaluated by ESG based on the scope and outcomes of the project and also the competency of the provider.
- During the application process
Sign in with your CorpPass into the Business Grants Portal. The application processing time is 8 to 10 weeks from the date of submission. The authorities might contact you for clarifications through this portal.
- The stage of approval
If the application is approved, then your company will receive the Letter of Offer (LOF). This letter would tell you the conditions involved in the support and the grant amount your company has been awarded. You have to acknowledge the LOF and inform about your acceptance within the mentioned timeline. Typically, every grant is offered on a reimbursement basis.
- The claims involved in the process
You have to provide the project details on the deliverables, a pre-qualified auditor’s report concerning the verified expenditures and any other supporting documents. You can expect a site visit from the ESG. A presentation meeting along with other supporting documents might also be requested from you. The GIRO information concerning the company bank details must be provided to enable the disbursement of the grants. All the claims must be provided to ESG within 6 months of the project qualifying period.
